Every month I try to set a day aside where I challenge myself. To step out of my comfort zone to create new habits that will ultimately benefit my clients in the long run.
It’s hard sometimes staying creative and standing out— and setting up shoots where I solely focus on what I’m doing and creating images that speak to me— all pressure set aside — is the best way I’ve found to break myself out of ruts and start good habits of creating images that speak to me in every session.
You want those moments that make you feel.
You want those feelings to come back to life through each and every photo.
My sole purpose of this shoot was to not just capture movement, but to capture the feeling of movement.
So when you look at the photo— you don’t just see the movement that’s taking place, but you feel like it was happening all over again.
What it felt like to jump into your loves arms and squeeze him tight or to snuggle up your pup and run around without a care in the world with your best friends by your side.
To take those moments that could be captured crisply and perfectly and turn them into a beautifully moving mess thats perfectly imperfect.
All that stuff aside— I love these two so much! They brought their pup Nala along and ahh I just want to be every dogs best friend WHY ARE THEY SO CUTE. I cannot wait for their wedding next month in Kauai— also, doesn’t Lauryn have the BEST hair?!?
