These two are just beyond cute and I was soo happy they contacted me about an anniversary session while I was spending a little bit of time in Oregon!!
This is the last session that wrapped up my quick adventure over to Oregon that was jam packed full of sessions— and it was just the cherry on top of a perfect little shoot trip.

Emily + Dalton got married a year ago in Hawaii, and they wanted to celebrate their anniversary with some photos that captured their love after one year of being married— anniversary sessions are some of my absolute favorite memories to capture, because I feel like you really get to know your person in that first year, ya know?

We met up prior to our shoot and just chatted for a good 45 minutes before we left to the falls, and it just came so natural with them!! Once we got to the falls, we explored around, chased the sunlight, and got absolutely DRENCHED within 2 minutes of being near this waterfall. It was a literal dream come true?! Emily + Dalton were so excited, she told me after our shoot that the location made them feel like little kids in a candy store, and made them fall in love with each other all over again— which almost brought tears to my eyes. THAT’S why I love what I do. Those words mean so much to me— when I can capture two crazy in love people in a place that makes them feel alive, that makes them so happy they just can’t stop giggling and smiling and hugging their person close because they’re just so freaking happy— and then to hear that within that 1.5 hours they were able to fall in love with each other all over again?? THAT’S my why.

I am so grateful for these two, their kind hearts, their high-spirits and willingness to be down for anything— and for just being so dang happy and excited to capture memories with me— and for making me feel like the luckiest person in the world to get to work with such amazing people like them that remind me that this is what I was meant to be doing.

PS. Dying at how Dalton had to hold down Emily’s dress cause we had some serious Marilyn Monroe action going on with the power from the falls. You’ll see what I mean
