Northern Idaho Fall Wedding || Sarah + Casey
Being a part of these twos’ day was so special and fun, for so many reasons!! I’ve known Sarah for a couple of years now, she actually went to college with my husband! A few years ago, her and Casey flew me up to Northern Idaho to take some anniversary/couples pictures of them in their favorite little lake town, Couer d’ lane. Ever since that weekend, I hoped and crossed my fingers that they would reach out when the time came that they would be getting married! Haha. And here we are! And I’m so unbelievably happy about it.
We took their engagements the Spring before their wedding— they drove down and back to their town in ONE DAY, to have me take them. You can check those out here!
Over these last few sessions of getting to know Sarah and Casey, and chatting back and forth in planning their big day— I can honestly say these two are some of the most endearing, kind people I’ve ever met. Sarah is SO bubbly and so happy at all times?! It POURED on their wedding day and these guys didn’t care a bit. It is what it is and you have to take it and go with it! Was their philosophy— and at the end of the day, they still got married! I remember Madison and I were game planning alternative ideas just in case they didn’t want to be out in the rain very long, or in case we needed some Plan B’s in general before we went and met up with Sarah. We went down to her hotel room to get started for the day and greeted her with hugs and then asked “how are you feeling!? About the day so far and do you need anything from us in regards to the rain?” And her response was “everything is great!” Basically shrugged her shoulders and said “freaking great, it’ll be a perfect day!” And we are SO HERE FOR THAT. Because no matter what, it will be!
Their day was so memorable— from a first look overlooking the river of their hometown, private vows, a beautiful ceremony— and dancing the night away with their family and friends. All with the rain coming down. Also their groomsmen made a hot chocolate run between the first look and ceremony for everyone including me and the videographer?! (Madison Rhoton!!) Freaking sweetest groomsmen ever haha. These two were made for each other. I’m so honored that I’ve gotten to capture SO many memories for these two, and hope to continue doing so in the future! Love Sarah + Casey, LOADS.
I also got to work along side my bestie cousin Madison Rhoton for this day (as mentioned above!!) which always makes it 10x better too! Check out her most gorgeous film from the day!!
xx
