Oh my goodness— where to even start with this day!?
Peyton Byford and I host a workshop for photographers (Wild & Unwritten), and we were headed to the beautiful island of Kauai for our second one! Kenzie reached out to us about wanting to elope in Kauai, and when we told her we would be there in January, it was pure fate!! This boho kauai elopement was one of the funnest, most laid back, days I have ever been a part of.
The Elopement
Kenzie + Dylan just wanted to elope in a beautiful place and make memories with each other throughout the day. So, that’s exactly what we did. These two got ready in front of the cutest church up on the north shore of Kauai. Kenzie wore the MOST stunning and unique crochet, boho dress by Reclamation Design. (All you boho brides, check them out! They are each carefully crafted + unique!) After a first look by a cute old church, we made our way down to the beach. These two exchanged vows (written on the back of greeting cards hahaha I love them), as the waves crashed against the black rocks. They then celebrated with popped champagne (such a fun idea if you don’t have a group of people— besides Peyton and I— to cheer you on!) and exploring the cliffside.
We ended the day in the ocean for a post-celebratory ceremony swim as the sun dipped over the mountains!! The BEST way to end any wedding in my opinion?! More kauai elopements please!
All in all, it was such an honor being a part of these twos’ special, intimate day. Where we just took things as they came with hardly any plan. These two are so sweet and have the most humble and gentle hearts. So excited for their new life as a married couple!
xx
