Cozy In-Home Engagements || Kaitlin + Nick
I’ve been looking forward to meeting this cute couple for so long! Kaitlin and Nick are one of my couples for this year— their wedding is in August of this year! I was referred to them by the ever so sweet and talented Rosie Nary, who is a good friend of theirs! They originally had their engagements taken by her, which you can check out here— because they’re so freaking good!! The wedding package they booked with me comes with complimentary engagements, and when that happens I say heck yes, use them!! More than anything it’s super important to me to be able to work with my couples before their actual wedding day, because I feel like it creates comfort ahead of time! They get to know how I work, they meet me, they get comfortable in front of my lens, etc.! Plus, it’s always a win getting to hang with my couples before their day, makes it that much more exciting and real!
Because their engagements were taken outside in the Fall, we decided to do an in-home session in their first home together in the winter! These have quickly become some of my favorites for so many reasons. Home is typically where you spend the most time with your person, so it’s fun to have that documented to always look back on. Doing the things you always do in your home, sitting in your favorite places, taking a walk down the streets you always take your doggos on— there’s a sort of nostalgia that always comes with that when you look back at the pictures years down the road. I met up with them a morning in February, and we did just that. Got cozy in their favorite places and spaces, and just had a good time chatting, getting to know each other, and dreaming up their wedding day. Kaitlin and Nick are some of the sweetest and softest humans ever and I feel lucky to get to capture their day! Plus they have the cutestttt little golden doodles and they look like little stuffed animals— I couldn’t take my eyes off of them. haha.
Love these two, and am so excited for their day this summer!!
xx
