It’s actually wild how long I’ve known these two. It just goes to show that time TRULY does fly by, and their weekend spent at Loloma Lodge in the stunning forest of Oregon was no exception.

I first met these two back in 2017– when chase and I showed up to their house super late into the evening, or was it super early in the morning– I honestly don’t recall– and we, get this, road tripped to CANADA. Upon first meeting. That’s how easy I knew it would be with these two, and how much we knew we would enjoy spending time with them.

Chase and I had just returned from a trip from in Europe, and we were flying into seattle. Karlie had reached out wanting to plan a couples session, and it just worked out that we could stay a little longer after flying into seattle, to make the trip up to Vancouver for a little adventure session. We spent a good day and half or two with a karlie and Travis, and it was so memorable and fun to get to know them this way.

Fast forward to 2019, and karlie reached out to me wanting to book me for their wedding in 2020. Nothing was better than receiving that email!! The relationships that carry on through the years are my favorite.
I’ll save the wedding day story for the blog of their wedding day, but they first wanted to do a little day-before shoot, to soak in time just BEING. We roamed around the property of Loloma Lodge, and spent time in the woods, on the deck of their cutest little cabin along the river, and then of course— dancing to favorite records in the living room— something that these two do so normally and so often in their own household.

These moments were so precious and perfect beyond words, the time just spent just the two of them before the hustle and bustle of a wedding day.
