Love these two more than words can describe!
Our adventure in Colorado was absolutely perfect, and one of my all time favorite days.
It could be because Colorado is my dream place to live. So many amazing views, getting lost in the mountains, endless hikes—
Or it could be because these two are super rad.
Or we’ll just sum it up to be a little bit of all of those reasons.

From the very beginning I was crossing my fingers that Kathryn + Nik would book me for their wedding— they seemed like my kind of people!! Adventurous, outgoing, down for anything— and Kathryn is an AMAZING videographer, so it just is that much more of an honor when another creative chooses me to be the one to document their memories.

I may or may not have squealed with joy when they said they wanted to book me (hint, I did). SO PUMPED.
We started planning their adventurous engagement session— to take place in their home state, Colorado. The place you literally can’t go wrong. They had never explored the rocky mountains together, so we decided it would be a close and perfect place to explore for their engagements. Chase and I flew in the evening before and met up with the two of them and had a freaking delicious dinner at Kathryn’s moms house, where we hung out and had a blast getting to know each other.
We set out the next morning, nice and early, to make sure we caught the sunrise over the rocky mountains and it was SO worth it. We pulled over at the perfect time and spotted a huge rock that we decided to climb to the top of to see if it gave us a view of the blue mountains and purple and pink sky.— and sure enough, it was BREATHTAKING. The entire morning we made it a point to get the highest peaks we could find, climbing up rocks and bracing massive gusts of wind on top of mountain tops— and Kathryn did it all in heeled boots so she’s a champ. We warmed back up running through open fields with the sun beating against us, all with their pup Rosie— wrapped up, got breakfast, and spent the rest of the day exploring the Rocky Mountains, skating around on frozen lakes, and touring all of Colorado that we could in the few hours we were there.

Kathryn and Nik became our personal tour guides for the day and showed us around their state— completely convincing us that we needed to move their one day. Love these two and their adventurous souls and cannot WAIT for their wedding in August!
