No joke, if you’re having a bad day, just look through these photos of Kylee + Andrew and their freaking adorable puppies.

EVERY TIME I look at them (getting real creepy right now), I just instantly get happy because THEY’RE just so happy. This was the most perfect morning there ever was. This was my third shoot in Oregon, so I was pretty drained from such a quick trip packed with lots of work— and this was at sunrise— so left at 5am to drive to this location, I was really trying my hardest not to fall asleep at the wheel. Instantly upon getting there and walking down to the waterfall chatting with Kylee + Andrew, all my lame complaints went out the window. They were so excited, they brought their puppies so obviously that’s just a good day right off the bat, and they were SO. NICE. I actually went to high school with Kylee and played soccer with her for a few years, but we were never super close and I hadn’t seen her since then! I’d been following along through social media on all her adventures and she’s always been one of the happiest and smiliest people I’ve ever known. This was my first time meeting Andrew though and to say they were made for each other would be an understatement. Soulmates are a thing and I can vouch for that for them even after only hanging out with them together for a few hours that morning. I am so happy that Kylee contacted me and set this up for when I was through their state.

We had so much fun climbing up and down rocks next to the blue waterfall in all of the lush green forest, running around all crazy with their muddy puppies, and just soaking up the morning and the beauty of this place and how insanely accessible it is right off of the highway. Not to mention we had the entire place to ourselves!

I remember leaving this shoot and hopping onto the freeway— the sun was so bright and radiating off of every tree along the river and it was so so pretty, and thinking— this is what it’s about. Being able to leave “work” with a full heart, knowing that you just froze time for two people in their happiest state yet.
