A while back I decided I wanted to take a trip out to Oregon to explore all of the crazy incredible gems that it holds.
I absolutely love shooting at places that not only make me feel alive, but the couple as well. That kinda stuff inspires me to no end. The location and how the couple interacts in the location, seeing them get just as excited over it as I do— is one of the biggest things that contributes to my work and my vision. So any chance I get to combine this beautiful earth that was created for us with two people wildly and crazy in love that just want to run around and enjoy this earth too? I’ll take it.
I planned a weekend trip to Oregon and just jam-packed it full of beautiful sessions. A huge thank you to those that wanted me to capture those memories for them!!! So here begins a series of Oregon adventures.
Miranda was actually one of my very first mentees a while back, and she was one of the first ones to reach out to me when she heard I was coming to Oregon!! Her and Chris have been together for 5 years, and wanted some fun pictures to celebrate that. No wedding anniversary, no elopement, no reason— just because. Just because they wanted to love on each other and run around at sunset and have a blast while having it all documented.
We decided to do their session at Cape Kiwanda— we had both read each others minds!! We suggested it at like the same time— so we knew it was the perfect place! We got to Cape Kiwanda with only about 50 minutes to shoot, but it was perfect. Because it was INSANELY windy. The sand pelting us and our fingers numbing (poor Chris haha), but they were troopers and we had so much fun roaming around the cliffs and taking in the insanely breathtaking views that surrounded us while the sun set. I’m so happy that I got to capture them in their 5th year together.
xx
