Who else can pull off a vow renewal in all black, on a windy and brisk day at the end of Autumn, playing the piano in the middle of the woods with numb fingers? The only two people I can think of, are Rachel and Cy. Two of the most creative, soft-spoken, and beautiful humans I know!

Rachel reached out to me asking me to document their vow renewal on their families property— where they could be tucked back in the trees and share their new vows in front of handmade Harry Potter lettering, being who they are, and who they are together, unapologetically. And it was nothing short of beautiful.

Rachel wore the prettiest all black dress with gold accents, and these two re-promised their lives and time to each other, with only their closest people present. Not only that, but these two had gotten tattoos to surprise each other with— both of which held significant meaning to their relationship.

The night continued on, as more friends showed up and they celebrated this time of their life with an annual fall-fest party under twinkle lights, in the middle of a little wooded area in the backyard, with soups + charcuterie. Oh, and of course, a piano outside being played in the middle of it all because these two have more unique style and talent than I can comprehend.
