Fun fact, Ashley was the first photographer that I ever ever ever followed on Instagram way back when. She was someone I admired so much as I was jumping into this crazy business?! Still do! So when she reached out to me and asked if I could take their anniversary photos— my jaw hit the floor. WHAT.
The amount of nervous-ness (is that a word?) that builds up inside me to photograph other creatives is pretty insane. Capturing moments and creating experiences and comfortable spaces for couples alone is intimidating, but to do that for other creatives who are successful at that same thing? That’s even more intimidating! haha.
But of course, Ashley + Trevor were such a fun couple to be around and work with. We just ran around like fools the entire night and soaked up every bit of weird weather that was thrown our way. We had anticipated a super sunny evening…since it was dead middle of summer. But as we got out to the sand dunes….we got a fall hazy storm?? It was the weirdest thing! But we soaked it up, ran around fields with their little pup Zayde, got crickets jumping in our faces every step we took (see scene below hahah), and ended the evening running out of breath charging down sand dunes as the sky turned all sorts of blues and pinks and oranges.
Zayde sure had the time of her life too— she was in a giant sandbox the entire night! Love these incredibly hard working, successful, creatives and I’m so honored to have been a part of their memories!
