Hey all you Idaho lovers!
So fun fact, I’M BASED IN IDAHO. It’s so funny because not many people know that!! When I first started my business, I always advertised to be all over the place, as most of the elopements + weddings I shoot are all over the United States! It got to the point where no one ACTUALLY knew where I was based out of! haha. Not a bad thing at all, but I’ve grown to love this little state of mine and exploring every inch of it! Most people actually think I’m based out of Salt Lake 😉
But nope! Boise-based, living about 30 minutes outside of the capital in a little town called Nampa!
So that’s a little fun fact for the day..

Going along with that I wanted to give all you bride + grooms getting married in Idaho and searching for a venue, some of my thoughts!! So within this blog post is a roundup of SIX of my favorite Southern Idaho wedding venues!! These are venues I’ve either shot at, or am DYING to shoot at.
A little read for your Saturday if you’re still on the hunt for the PERFECT venue! Most of these are in the mountains, I’m a little bias!! (because my heart can never get enough, so naturally…).  They are also for a wide variety of budgets!!

There are tons of amazing venues in Idaho, but these ones I’m drawn to as of right now!

SIX OF MY FAVORITE WEDDING VENUES IN SOUTHERN IDAHO

GALENA LODGE
Set in-between the Sawtooths and Sun Valley is Galena Lodge! The perfect weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of cities + towns. This venue is so fun! The perfect lodge for hosting receptions, and you take a little walk to your ceremony spot! Your ceremony can be set right against the mountains over the stream. So much open land to roam around!
Loved this day of Shelby + Jeremy’s at Galena Lodge at the tail end of summer!

TAMARACK RESORT
Such a stunning venue set outside of McCall Idaho at the Tamarack Skiing Resort! Perfect for you if you love white churches, epic mountain views, and beautiful scenery.

BLACKHAWK ON THE RIVER
McCall is probably one of my all time favorite little lake towns, it helps that I live so close to it!! I got to photograph Amber + Myles intimate wedding there a while back and it was a dream! A huge stunning lodge located along the river. A perfect mix of tall, dense pines + a rushing river as a beautiful backdrop. The ultimate place for a woodsy wedding! Can we just appreciate how the light beams through those trees?! 

IDAHO ROCKY MOUNTAIN RANCH
Okay I don’t know if I’ve ever been so obsessed with a venue as I came across it?! If you know me, you know my heart belongs in the Sawtooths in Stanley Idaho!! So when I saw this venue, it HAD to make it into this lineup!! These gorgeous and LITERALLY jaw dropping images are from Maggie Grace Photography (the middle image from Idaho Rocky Mountain ranch website!), and I am obsessed!! A stunning ranch located in Stanley with breathtaking views of the Sawtooth Range as your witness. Like are you kidding me?! Who wouldn’t want to get married here?!? If you love the mountains, this place is for you!

CHATEAU DES FLEURS
A stunning and charming venue located in Eagle, Idaho— but makes you feel like you’re in France! If you love all things classy and elegant, oh my gosh, get married here! All the heart eyes for this beautiful, timeless venue. Set against the Boise River, you have a mix of scenery/landscape and a romantic estate! I have yet to land a wedding at this gorgeous place, but will probably die when I do!! Can’t wait to make magic here one day! IN THE HEART OF THE SAWTOOTHS
And last but not least, why not just run around with your loved one in the heart of the Sawtooths?! Especially if you’re eloping or have an intimate wedding, there are ENDLESS places to explore in Stanley Idaho. Some of my FAVORITE memories and intimate weddings have taken place in the Sawtooths, and I cannot WAIT to make more magic here and have the rugged peaks as a witness again. So many hikes, epic views, and vast landscapes— you can’t top it! If you need specific recommendations within the Sawtooths to help plan your special day, never hesitate to reach out! 🙂
