One of my favorite shoots to date is this one. I say that because it wasn’t just a shoot done in a record store because record stores make for cute, indie, old-school kind of vibes. These two music loving cuties first met in Culture Clash, this record store which we visited and hung out in the day before their wedding, spending a little bit of time reminiscing on their beginning. I felt so honored to be able to document such a special and pivotal part of their relationship. Couples who let me in, who tell me their story from the very beginning, and who let me really be a part of who they are and all that they’re going to be— are the kind of couples that I forever hold close to my heart.
I got to spend the entire day before their wedding with Kayla + Nick, driving around, them showing me all the special places that they loved back in their hometown in Ohio. We played old scratchy vinyls, told stories and memories, got the famous Timbits for breakfast, and I had the opportunity and honor of being the one to document their beginning of their most special and treasured weekend.
