National Tropical Botanical Garden Wedding on Kauai || Jessi + Chris
This day was so special in so many ways. Jessi + Chris got engaged on Kauai, and it has always been a place that’s been so close to their hearts. When they reached out to me telling me of their plans to get married on this beautiful island and all the special moments that would make up their day, I was over the MOON excited. Kauai is somewhere that I will never ever get sick of exploring. In a way it completely feels like home. Out of all of the places I’ve had the opportunity to visit, there are few of them that really feel like some sort of “home”. Kauai being one of them, no questions asked! These two tied the knot in the prettiest, oldest white church— so significant to their faith. This beautiful building dates back to completion in 1854, and is the oldest Catholic Church on Kauai. They wanted to incorporate their faith throughout the day as much as possible, and it was so present the entirety of the evening. So much love and light radiated from Jessi + Chris and their entire families throughout the course of the day. It was full of their closest friends and family traveling so far from all over to celebrate their love, you knew that everybody there plays a significant role in their life one way or another!
After their beautiful ceremony within the walls of this white church, the best of the best parties was held at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens. And OH MY GOSH. One of the most stunning places I have ever been. We toured the grounds of this garden the afternoon before their wedding, and it was the first time that Jessi and Chris were seeing it too!! These gardens are set deep in a valley, and when you rounded the corner above them, it’s the most breathtaking sight! Once we made it to the botanical gardens, Jessi had surprised Chris with a foot washing ceremony to signify their faith and their love for one another back at the most serene and beautiful waterfall? Straight out of a fairytale! The peacefulness and serenity of this probably made it my favorite part of the day! They partied the night away with the most touching speeches, a snow cone trailer turned to bar, and literally danced the night away with the best freaking light saber foam sticks until the stars came out— that I think everybody needs at their wedding?? It made the night so fun and it got people to dance like crazy!! haha.
Jessi + Chris, it was such an honor to be a part of your intimate wedding on Kauai. It was such a dream— the entire day and getting to know the both of you and capture these precious, most important moments that you’ll be able to show your kids and grandkids one day. And how epic they’ll think you are 😉
And can we just drool over the set up done by Tie the Knot Hawaii?! My literal monstera + tropical dream!! All the vendors were such a dream to work with and I loved every second of it!! Dreaming of the day I get to be back on this island and work with the most incredible team out there 😉
