I knew I would love these two the second I got Taylor’s email to me inquiring about their engagements and wedding date! There was sooo much detail in her email I could cry happy tears. They knew exactly what they wanted— and their style is like no other and I absolutely love it.

For their engagements, they wanted something that screamed Idaho. The majority of Idaho is brown, dry, and desert. And I’m not going to lie, it’s not like the pretty desert with cacti and red rock— it’s just dry, just dirt. It’s its own kind of pretty. haha. It is beautiful though— especially hidden gems like this one. Taylor + Casey wanted something that would fit their personalities— they wanted something unique, adventurous, nothing green or lush or anything like that— they wanted Idaho. So Taylor came across this amazing place— this place that is only accessible a few weeks out of the year. We originally had their engagements planned for August— but this canyon is only drained a few weeks out of the year and in August it was still completely full of water. Also another reason I love these two— so persistent and it was SO worth it. They drained this canyon in October, and it really is magical! Huge black stone walls that have these holes and waves in them from erosion that make you feel like you’re walking on the moon. There was only one downside— there were dead fish EVERYWHERE. hahaha. They had just drained it so all the little fishies got left at the bottom of the canyon. Poor things.

So despite the smell— all of which I couldn’t really smell cause I was sick at the time so bonus for me– it was a perfect time.

We spent the evening climbing around this crazy cool canyon— and ended the evening running through windy fields as the sun set all with their beautiful black pup Maude and it was so much fun. Love these two and their hearts and cannot wait for their little wedding this summer.
