The most epic day in the Sawtooths with Whitney and Gage for their intimate wedding at Goat Lake! Whitney came to me with the vision for her day— where they just did the thing they love most. Hiking to alpine lakes and taking in views. And that’s exactly what they did!! They somehow convinced their family and friends to hike 8 miles with them up a mountain to one of the most beautiful alpine lakes that I’ve ever been to, to share their vows + start the next chapter in their life. And it was nothing short of perfect!

I’ve done this hike once before, and it’s not the easiest hike to say the least— but the end is so incredibly worth it. These two parted ways after we go to to the top, where they got ready in the woods with their people and soaked up the beautiful sunshine. They read their vows back to back amongst the tall pines, without seeing each other before the ceremony and it was so special. Whitney’s aisle was the jagged rocks that led down to the turquoise water where Gage was waiting for her— along with their pups and her sweet Grandma who was pictured by her side throughout the entire day who had passed just recently. The most special bond created amongst those blue waters and huge granite peaks. They shared their first dances on a flat slab of granite, using nature as their dance floor and I can’t think of anything else more epic? It was a glorious and beautiful day!! Loved every second spent with them + their families + friends, and that hike is always, always worth it. Love these two!!
